Effective Date: 2024-06-01
We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you understand exactly what information is collected by our app, how it is used, how we safeguard your data, and your rights concerning your information under United States and Canadian privacy laws.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
iDataCode does not require user registration, and we do not store or process any personal data that can identify you individually. Users access our barcode generation services using an anonymous token, which does not link back to any personal user information.
2. Payment Information
For processing payments, we partner with Stripe via their Merchant API. Although we do not store your payment information, it is necessary for you to share your payment details directly with Stripe to complete transactions. We encourage you to review Stripe’s privacy policy to understand how they handle your payment information securely.
3. Content for Barcode Generation
The content you provide for generating a barcode is processed only within your current session and is not stored on our servers. This content is processed temporarily to generate a barcode and is not considered personal data by our app. For your convenience, we offer the option to download this data as an encrypted file, which you can use to restore your session at a later time by uploading it to our server. Please be aware that the security and privacy of the data contained in this file are your responsibility once downloaded.
4. Consent
By using our app, you consent to the temporary processing of the data you provide for barcode generation. You also consent to our practices regarding payment processing as described above. If we ever require further information or need to use your data for any new purposes, we will obtain your explicit consent before proceeding.
5. Data Security
We implement robust security measures to protect the data processed through our app. However, given that we do not store any personal data or payment information on our servers, the risk of sensitive data exposure is greatly minimized.
6. User Rights
You have specific rights regarding your personal information, depending on your state or country of residence. These rights typically include:
- Access and Correction: You have the right to access the personal information we process about you and to request corrections to any inaccurate data.
- Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete personal information about you.
- Opt-Out: If applicable, you have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information.
Please contact us at [email protected] if you wish to exercise any of these rights.
7. Data Breach Notification
In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your potential personal information, we will notify you and any applicable regulator when we are legally required to do so, in accordance with both U.S. and Canadian law.
8. No Sale of Personal Information
iDataCode does not sell personal information to third parties.
9. Minors
Our app is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 16 in Quebec). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below these ages. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under these ages, we will take steps to delete such information from our files as soon as possible.
10. Accountability
We are committed to ensuring that our privacy practices are transparent and comply with all applicable laws. If you have any concerns about how we handle your information, please contact us directly, and we will address your concerns promptly.
11. Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
